In the mid-17th century, the word "refrigerator" entered the American language. Until then, refrigerators had only affected the diet of the average American citizen. As the city grew, ice sales grew. It was gradually used by hotels, hotels, hospitals and some picky city traders to preserve meat, fish and butter. After the end of the civil war (1861-1865), ice was used to refrigerate trucks and enter civilian use. By 1880, half the refrigerators sold in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, and one-third of the refrigerators sold in Boston and Chicago, began to enter homes because of new appliances - refrigerators - modern refrigerators. The predecessor was invented. Similar products are also freezers.
Making efficient refrigerators is not as easy as we think. In the early 19th century, inventors had a very shallow understanding of the thermal physics essential to the science of refrigeration. The idea that a good refrigerator should be able to prevent the melting of ice, which was very popular at the time, was clearly wrong because the melting of ice played a role in the cooling process. In the early days, many efforts were made to protect the ice, including wrapping the ice in blankets so that the ice would not work. It was not until the end of the 19th century that inventors succeeded in finding the balance between insulation and circulation needed for efficient refrigerators.
